This case adds some bulk, but not much. I think you could get a slimmer profile with just silicone skin. I bought this for an old iPad2 which fits perfectly. Here's what I like/dislike about this case. Good overall but wish there was cardboard on the back, I know if it falls on the back it will be damaged. I've bought others and they all had cardboard on the back of the book spine. The spine protrudes instead of lying flat when closed. So fold the verse to how the book looks when closed, which is flat along the back of the spine. no real support.
