RIP Gear Fit 2 Screen Sometime 2017 - 21st July 2021 The band fell off my wrist three times in the first week. I should have returned it then. It is too late now and my poor fit has suffered the consequences of my carelessness. I have had a Fit 2 Gear since 2017 and have managed to keep it scratch and crack free. til today. Now I have a Gear Fit 2 with a cracked screen :( It's been 2 days since I last attached my stylish new strap to my trusty Gear Fit. I woke up like any other day. FYI, the original strap lasted 3 years until the rubber that connects the metal plate to the dial ruptured. Leave the metal plate attached to the dial. I bought a replacement band from another manufacturer for $10, this band lasted 3 months before the same catastrophic failure. This third strap looks visually in perfect condition. I would like to point out that this strap failed for another reason. So I will rule out my dial as a weak link. When reattached to the watchface, the connection seems secure. I can wiggle it with more than enough force and it holds tight. He just seems to have trouble lasting more than a few days.
