Review on Portable Solar Charger: BigBlue 28W Solar Panel with Digital Ammeter, 2USB (5V/4A) - Camping, iPhone, Huawei, LG, Google Pixel by Julie Keever

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks good and we build it

Bought to charge external batteries during long trips and camping. Exit 2A made me do this over others. Looks like a quality product. It's cloudy and rainy here in PNW so there was no way to test it. Will update my review when weather permits.———————— Updated 4/23/2018. When charging a single phone or iPad with < 50% battery discharge, the display will show 1.5-2.0 amps. when charging begins. Two devices at once is a whole different story. The output current reads 2.5-3A for a short time, then drops to about half that for a moment, and then shows 2-3A again. Changing my rating to two stars as I have serious doubts that it is anything can afford almost 4A. I'll do some more testing with the ammeter and other equipment to see if I can figure out what's going on. I believe it will work well enough for my intended use to charge a large USB power bank.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • So far so good
