They are surprisingly sturdy for adjustable rings. The snake’s "skin” is textured to resemble scales, while the inside is completely smooth. The craftsmanship is very good with a nice attention to details in the snake’s features. The rings are comfortable to wear and despite their sturdiness are not heavy. My daughter has been wearing them for a week and didn’t have any negative skin reactions, and both rings look as great as when they first arrived.
