OK, but the sole is loose

I bought 2.5-3.5 for my 8 year old who wears size 1 and 12.5-13 for my 5 year old who wears size v12. They both fit well, leaving about half of the big toe room on the toes. They walked Water Country USA for 6 hours, running the rides, wave pool and playground and the only issue we had was the soles on both pairs were loose. We were able to get them out and they continued to haul trucks. I deducted a star because of the loose soles, otherwise they did their job well.
