What's good: The shoes have held up great in the water and mud, never rubbed or heated anywhere on a 3 year old's feet, and that's a consideration here in Arizona. He just put them on and off himself and loved the bright colors. Not very good: these shoes lasted our 3 years about a month - see picture. The price was right so I took the risk of buying sandals without reinforced toes (like sneakers) and felt embarrassed because it destroyed them. FYI he is an active 3 year old and has worn them cycling, climbing and generally just running. Sizing: We originally went a size up to allow them to grow into my sandals in the summer, but they were huge. We returned a larger size for the current size as we realized they wouldn't last long which was fine as they weren't expensive. Obviously, this is now a moot point.
