I've had this jug for over a year now. Filtering doesn't matter. In the 1st month the meter rusted and I did not contact the manufacturer to replace it. I decided to just uninstall it and keep using it. Over time, the damper hinge broke and I only had to wash the device by hand. I contacted the manufacturer and they said it was not a guarantee. Since I spend a lot of money on filters year-round, I assumed they'd like to get the pitcher right. No, they will only replace the defective part if I pay for shipping. I wasn't interested in paying shipping from another country to try and limp this pitcher, ugh! I had another water filter pitcher and none of them fell apart.
