I have a brand new Samsung Q85 4K LED TV and it only has 4 HDMI inputs. There are no inputs for older video technologies like Composite video or Component video or S-video. I needed to get my older Xbox-360 with component video connected to my TV. After doing research and reading hundreds of reviews online on Walmart, I decided to buy this. I wasn't disappointed. Worked flawlessly at the first attempt. I thought that HD signal coming in from the XBOX would not look good on my 4K TV. But there is some upscaling going on and the gameplay and the audio is awesome. I am happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product.I need to check this cable on my DVD too. I haven't done this yet. Will do that and update this review if needed. But, if it this cable converts the component video signal from my XBOX to the HDMI TV input flawlessly, I don't see why it would be any different for the DVD signal.
