I have so many cords and cords around my house and I'm always looking for a way to shorten them, either for storage or to keep them from dangling around or on the floor and Cause Dust Use some other products like velcro and they work well, but velcro in particular tends to collect dust due to the nature of the material. Not bad, but we live in Arizona and there's a lot of dust. I thought they were most likely only for large cables like heavy duty extension cords but I was really surprised to find that they work for things like my laptop charger and in this case both bricks and cords while I normally use other types of Wire harnesses use the wrap only on the wire and brick separately. With the smaller extension, I only wrapped it twice and that was it. I needed it to fit comfortably and put it on very easily and very quickly. Not sure about the elastic yet, I can say it's definitely thicker than I expected, so it's great. My experience with rubber/plastic items in AZ heat is that they don't last long. I'll have to wait to find out but I can say that at first glance I think they will hold up well. Another small downside is that it's not that easy to do (unless I'm missing something to hold it to the cable while unrolling. Velcro and a few other types are attached to the cable so when unrolling I'm sure I'll have it will find a way to make this happen. I was wrong and am very happy with the purchase. If they hold up well, which I suspect they will probably be my cleaner for my loose cables (and probably many other uses) .
