For the price they seem good. I bought 4 of these and 3 out of 4 worked. 4. turns on, but only gibberish on the display. The 3 working readings are within 1.5F of each other when the sensors are placed side by side in the same tank (80.4F, 81.0F, 81.9F). If they were thermometers, you wouldn't notice the difference. The displays are very large and easy to read. I have requested a refund (exchange to China for an item under $5?) but with or without a refund I would buy them again with a 3 out of 4 yield. Still less than half the purchase price here at the pet store. .Update: The seller IMMEDIATELY replaced a defective device. This is as accurate as the first three and all four units read within 1.5F of each other (80.4F, 81.0F, 81.8, 81.9F). I think this is a very good product for the price. I am changing my rating from *** to *****. Received a second batch of 3 and 2 out of 3 work. Again the ones that work seem pretty accurate, but again one was bad. Let's see if the seller replaces this one too. Again a good product for the price. when they work. 3 Star Rating Change ***From 6 new ones that work: 80.4F, 81.0F, 81.5F, 81.8F, 81.9F, 90.0F All readings are within one grade at very low cost. I think it's worth the hassle with the bad parts.
