The antenna is sufficient. The problem is where the antenna is screwed to the base. Both parts are made of hard plastic and break easily. I broke one and ordered another to replace it. The manufacturer could get a very good product if they fix this defect. I would pay double the price if the antenna was upgraded. Reception is very good, but I held my breath and hoped it wouldn't break again. I couldn't find anything else on the market with the features I needed or I wouldn't have bought a second one.
