This unit has had to constantly work through an audio amplifier. It has been argued in the literature that it has abilities. The first block was returned because the remote control didn't work. I had the same problem when I replaced the block. Finally I connected it to the TV and the remote control appeared on the screen. The literature doesn't say you had to plug it into your TV to program it. After much trial and error I was able to figure it out. Remember --------- If you want to play music through an amplifier, YOU MUST CONNECT AND SET UP IT TO YOUR TV FIRST. THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT SAY THAT.
