There are people who believe that a brand's popularity or a high price automatically speaks for quality. Not so! These boots are just as good as $300-$400 boots. Like all new boots they are quite stiff but I suspect the ankle area will loosen up with a bit of use. These boots were designed in the USA but made in China. . . what is expected nowadays. The straps are fully adjustable and interchangeable, and I particularly like the firm rubber outsole. Most of the boot is double stitched where necessary. I usually wear a size 10 1/2 so I ordered a size 11. I would recommend ordering at least half a size larger than your normal size and a full size larger if you wear thick socks. If you are not a snob then this is probably the best price on the boot!
