Review on FireStik IBA 5 Indoor Base Antenna by Sal Muniz

This is a good quality CB antenna if you need to install it indoors. The ability to adjust the length of the antenna is a great feature for keeping the SWR at an acceptable level. Since I placed it in the attic at a height of 3 stories I had to put it on some metal to provide a better base. I easily found what I needed at my local hardware store for less than $10. In terms of performance, I have clear reception with very little interference and can transmit over 3 miles. This antenna easily doubles the transmit power I get from my Falcon dipole antenna installed in the same attic. I believe the grounding function is what counts. The FireStik website has tons of information on installing and setting up these and other antennas. It also clearly explains the limitations of indoor antennas so you know exactly what to expect. If you cannot mount the antenna outdoors, this is a good alternative to go on the air.
