I use a fairly powerful ultralight Asus I7 Gen 8 laptop for work and some gaming. I had a lightweight dual fan cooler before and it died after 3 months. So far I'm very impressed with this fan. It fits in my small briefcase and is very light, which is important to me. I'm running an application that shows core temperature, and in some test games it kept the core temperature below 70 degrees while climbing to 90 degrees without the fan. So yeah, I'm a fan. Passing through USB works fine. I used it with an external SSD. It's also very comfortable on my knees as I write this.
