My i3 came with a regular American style mirror - and I was terrified driving on the freeway - entire trailers disappeared into my blind spot . The curvature of these mirrors shows a much larger road to the side - you can see two lanes of traffic. At the latest when the car disappears in the mirror, you can see it through the side window. Installation is easy - move the mirror all the way up with the motor - you should only see the sky - take a plastic tool and pull out the old mirror from the bottom (there are many videos on YouTube showing this) Then we part the power cord from the old one and connect it to the new one. So that's the only downside to this product - the mirror heater tabs stick out at a 90 degree angle - you need to bend them at about a 45 degree angle - otherwise the electrical adjustment will work against these tabs. Reattach it. Adjust it as you like. That's all. Really easy. The mirror does not wobble or wobble like I experience with other cheap mirror glass replacement parts. With an aspherical mirror, no automatic dimming is required - it diffuses the light, not focuses it.
