One thing I struggle with every time I make candy is the clip-on thermometers sliding around. You should be concentrating on the temperature and not grinding or fiddling with the thermometer. This thermal spatula is great! You put it in the pot and don't have to worry about it. I wish this design had been around a long time, it would have saved a lot of trouble. The readings are easy to see and can be used as either metric or standard. The silicone spatula is heat resistant and the thermometer is removable for cleaning. Excellent goods.
