TLDR probably ok. I'm trying to add a second SSD to my laptop. Samsung EVO 850 SATA SSD has been confirmed to work on the main PC. I reinstalled the cable twice in case of user error. The cable looks physically appropriate. I checked the uefi bios, there was no setting to enable the second hard drive. Windows 10 Home > diskmgmt.msc > scan > Windows only sees disk0, a factory Toshiba nvme SSD. Even diskpart command line used. Edit: I can't give a bad review as I tried two other cables that appeared to be identical and didn't work for me. It must be my mobo. When I switched memory my battery blew when I plugged it back in and the trail lit up. The power going to the hard drive should be fried because everything else was still working fine.
