Review on DCK287D2 DEWALT Cordless 🔧 Impact Drill Kit with Brushless Motor by Dan Phillips

I had to borrow a bit from some of the other reviewers when giving my review of this drill set. As one of the other reviewers noted, the shock driver is fantastic. On the other hand, like the one mentioned, the compact drill has a terrible cartridge. The first thing I got was when I inserted my drill bit about 12 inches, the wobble at the end of the bit was a full quarter of an inch. I installed drywall in my basement and when I drilled holes in it to put in anchors for some screws, even this short drill bit, maybe 3 inches, wobbled so much that the hole was bigger than intended, let alone. It's hard to start a hole with the bit wobbling like this. I was so disgusted that I decided to ask Revane to send me a replacement. This replacement arrived yesterday and when I checked to see if this cartridge was loose I was disappointed again. The drill chuck on the new drill doesn't vibrate as much as it did on the first one, but it's still noticeable. I have an old crappy 7.2v drill that barely holds a charge and was bought for a fraction of the price of this drill, but at least this drill has a chuck that doesn't wobble. For a high end drill from a well known company this is incredibly disappointing and I am considering returning this drill in the hope that it will be charming a third time.
