Loosening the single thumbscrew allows both ends to be moved and adjusted, the black end pieces rotate 360° independently, and the lever is bent and adjusted at the midpoint. This hand holds a weight that he says could be more. It's worth it. Other brands don't believe a fraction of what they say. You get what you pay for. I've been using the larger version for my wheelchair for decades and it has worked great too.
