Beautiful but not without problems

This hand is very good! Definitely hard mode. My only issue with this, and the reason for only three stars, is that one ending remains blocked until I tamper with it to unblock it. I think for $110 it should work better.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not fashionable

So strong it's not adjustable

(updated) Lever doesn't consistently unlock to adjust. I've had several arms, this one is by far the best despite being quite muscular.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Volume

The Magic Mini Arm is good for lighting and studio

If you have a Manfrotto tripod with a 3/8" Easy Link or just need a strong friction arm with interchangeable connectors, this is the product for you You.I am using this with MT055XPRO3 to hold a DJ7 monitor.Works like a charm.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Solid product, overpriced

Very durable, great quality but slightly overpriced at around $100. It could easily be $50-$75. The Manfrotto tripod and 504HD head are around $500, this little hand shouldn't cost 1/5 that cost. Very strong, but short, so freedom of movement is restricted. Supports the weight of my Atomos Shogun flame attached to a 504HD head with no problem.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great friction lever but expensive

I needed a friction lever for a Manfrotto 504hd fluid head and am very happy with it. It's definitely a little pricey, but it's very well made and really fun to use with its ball mechanism that gives you a wide range of settings. I connected both lamps and a monitor to it and it worked great. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it's definitely expensive for what it is. If it was about $20 cheaper I think it would be well deserved.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Not sure

NOT Pro Standard Good for lighting and studio

the weakest link. Manfrotto became the weakest link. Does not hold at maximum tightening. I'm pretty sure that's why I bought it. Stay in place. It is not. If you need it to stay in place once fully tightened I would not recommend purchasing this item. Smallrig has never let me down. Manfrotto again and again. It looks cheap these days and doesn't meet professional standards. I mean, you can't really count on Manfrotto quality if you make a living from camera gear.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

I Trust Manfrotto - Booms and Racks

This is an amazing hand and very strong. It has integral 1/4-20 male ends that can be removed with the included allen wrench and replaced with the included 3/8-19 male end. There are also no female ends in the kit, but I didn't find them. There are various adapters that you can get. Loosening the single thumbscrew allows both ends to be moved and adjusted, the black end pieces rotate 360° independently, and the lever is bent and adjusted at the midpoint. This hand holds a weight that he says…

Reliable, good value for money

Ok this Manfrotto 244 mini arm is a bit bulky, heavy and expensive compared to other magic arms you will see. Well, since that's not the case, do you want your hand to be strong, safe, and super easy to use? Take this Manfrotto. Do you want something that is flexible, affordable and supports your expensive monitor, recorder or camera? Then get one of these cheap ones. I've tried many of these and have never been impressed. I decided to bite the bullet and pay more for Manfrotto. Wow! i love…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Only available in black
