Review on πŸ–€ MYSWEETY 3018PRO M Black Engraving Extension Rod by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product and works well once you figure it out

In short great deal for the price. Laser and CNC in one. Decently built and strong enough for the hobbyist. Works as it should, once you build it figure out the hardware connections, figure out the software connections and do some trial and error testing. More detailed review: - Firstly, some items are missing from the assembly instructions or are out of order. This means I've had to take apart something I built at least 3 times to install a different part. It wasn't difficult, but annoying. There are no instructions for the side parts, but they are also easy to follow. I had to loosen the two outer rails so I could move the assembly. My suggestion, don't overtighten until you're done. Two different types of power supplies were supplied. I ended up having to use ONLY a 24V square wave power supply. Mentioning this in case anyone else gets two. If you don't want to keep disconnecting and reconnecting, you can leave the laser and CNC router/motor connected at the same time. The software you are using determines whether the laser or the router/motor is powered. Just make sure the laser is pointing down and away from eyes or other objects when not in use. At least once I turned on the system and the laser lit up. I don't want to accidentally blind anyone. I made a small case that I attached to the back rail to house the laser or router/motor inside. When not in use. - It takes a lot of trial and error to figure out how to "really" make something, but that's not the machine's fault. Be patient, study and read, test. Now for the good stuff :) - Well packaged. The Revain shipping box was damaged but the box inside the CNC was good strong cardboard and contained the components in decent packing material and was well organized. Nothing was damaged. - The frame and CNC components were solid and of decent construction. - No parts are missing and when assembled they look solid. - All connections were easy to understand. - The external control worked fine in the test, but I still did all the work by connecting to the PC. Read the documents in the external controller box to find out how to control the grinder/motor speed and laser power. Most people tend NOT to read documents ;) - The router/motor and laser are definitely powerful enough to do a lot as an amateur. I have engraved several different signs on different types of wood and have laser engraved several leather and wood products. The software that came with this package worked. It just needs to pay attention to which COM port it creates so you can tell the software which port to use to connect. Remember that you can only connect one piece of software to your device at a time. So if you use a CNC and then decide to go with a laser, either close the CNC software completely or at least click 'Disable' in the software. You need other software to create your own stuff. There are many free programs out there, so have fun exploring and trying out different ones. You can also buy a lot there, but don't pay for something you don't know. Try each one until you find what really works for you. - Not as loud as I thought. - The provider (bigbangamazon@yahoo.com) replied to several emails when they finally received my emails. Not sure why the first two weren't received by them, they were very responsive after all. Moral: if they don't answer at first, send it again ;) Happy CNC/Laser (doubt that's the word lol) and remember PATIENCE and PRACTICE I'm not sure why the first two weren't received by them, after all they were very responsive . Inexpensive, well designed, high quality machine - but not too easy for beginners.
