Review on Skechers Porter Vamen Slip Loafer Men's Shoes in Loafers & Slip-Ons by Charles Purnell

This is the second pair of Porter Vamen slip ons that I have ordered. According to the Brannock device, the industry standard foot gauge, I measure a size 12. I ordered a size 12 and they were just huge. I sent them back and ordered two sizes up to 11. They arrived yesterday when I was going out. I was so worried about the shoes after the long delays in delivery that I put them on without realizing how badly they fit and left the house. I am ashamed. I knew right away that they were very big too, but I didn't realize how poorly designed they were. I went just before they became so uncomfortable that they almost fell off my feet that I went home to change shoes. Both shoes are too wide. There is enough space between the boot and the tip of my foot for my big toe to fit in. The left boot is really bad with a huge gap between the boot and the top of my foot, about 3/4 inch. The entire shaft of the right boot was sewn on crookedly and this boot also has too much room at the top. my foot. The photo was taken with feet stretched forward so that they touch the top of the shoe. You can see how different they are from each other. And remember, it's 2 sizes smaller than what I measure. The next photo showed my foot where it should rest on the insole and showed how much extra room there is over the instep. I have three other pairs of Skechers, all a size 12, and they all fit great and are comfortable. Too bad I didn't take the time to pay. Check out these Vamen loafers before you put them on but Skechers is ashamed of the poor quality in this style.
