Review on πŸŽ’ Maxpedition 0512 Condor II Backpack Khaki: Ultimate Performance and Style by Erik Peterson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Less than I thought.

Having a Falcon II and now a Condor II I can honestly say they look about the same size. The Falcon II is slightly taller and the Condor II is slightly wider. Qualitatively rebuilt, it should survive me and I can pass it on to my children. Due to the soft padding on the back, it is very comfortable even with longer loads of more than 20 kilos and a water bladder. Like every other type on the web it has more than enough attachment points for whatever you want to add and plenty of room for a 2 or 3 day hump. If you're upgrading from a Falcon II to something higher, get the Vulture, otherwise you'll save your money. I don't see much difference between owning the two other than the above. The waist belt is also not really intended as a waist belt that carries a load; Falcon II, Condor II or Vulture, for some reason many people make this mistake; The waist belt is only there to protect the bag from impact when loading when you need to run or do other activities where you don't want your load hitting your back or moving. Overall this is a great bag for most activities with pretty decent organization. I bought the black one because it blends more into the urban environment and doesn't instill fear in city dwellers. If you need to shout tactics to the world or use it for rural or military operations, maxpedition has the colors for you.
