Got my M2X yesterday and started using it straight away. My first comments are: 1) There are no problems installing the Samsung 950 Pro (256GB) in a case. The fact that they supply replacement parts for the very small screws that secure the SSD to the board and for the front and back panels is a nice touch as they are very easy to lose. 2) I'm a bit disappointed with the performance but to be honest overall my expectations weren't well founded and it's fast enough for me. I ran a test using the AS-SSD test and got the following results (global scores only): a. On my Dell XPS 15 9570 with Toshiba SSDi. Primary SSD: 2417ii. M2X to USB-C Thunderbolt: 545iii. M2X to USB 3.1 Gen 2: 466iv. WD Blue USB 3.0 SSD: 327b. On my main desktop (ASUS Z170 MB with Intel I7 6700K)i. Primary SSD (Samsung 960 EVO): 2565ii. M2X to USB 3.0: 225iii. M2X to USB 2.0: 79iv. WD Blue SSD in USB 3.0 Enclosure 2063) Even more problematic is that the M2X is not always recognized on my desktop's USB 3.0 ports (no problems with USB 2.0 port and USB C and XPS 15 USB C and 3.0 ports) .4) Last, and perhaps least, the supplied USB cables are of high quality but stiff enough to make positioning the M2X difficult at times.
