Review on Desktop Processor: Intel Core i5 6500 3.20 GHz Quad Core Skylake, Socket LGA 1151, 6MB Cache by Ojasvi Sharma ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

A cull from the i7, with less cache, but with great cores. Index K for shkolota - he does not need overclocking, like most CPUs. It doesn't hurt to tune the memory timings - it will give a 1% increase in performance, unpacking the cores in Lasso 9.0 is also sometimes useful, or fine-tuning in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility so that all 4 cores work at a frequency of 3.6, although you don't have to bother. Added screenshots from games on the embed (not the maximum quality, but when playable)

Pros
  • Really cold (45-50 degrees is almost always tense), very productive with two DDR4 sticks, has pretty good integrated HD 530 graphics, which allows you to play many games without a video card, including tanks, not at the highest settings of course, but still, with an acceptable FPS of 30-40 frames with a good picture. This CPU produces 68-80 FPS with the top-end GTX 1060 6 Gb SuperJetStream in the 15-minute Donut test without overclocking the video card (overclocking adds max 5 more frames) My monitor supports 75 hertz in Full HD, it’s relevant to me. The picture on the IPS matrix becomes clearer and richer, although the load on the vidyuhi increases at the same time, as well as on the CPU itself a little. Now it is not inferior in games to either the R5 1500 or the i7 7600, and even the R5 1600 or the i5 8600K is rarely bypassed (in any case, these games are unoptimized crap, and the only real reason for dropping to 50 frames, which, like games to that personally, I'm not interested at all)
Cons
  • It was quite expensive a year ago, half a year before the Ryzens, and, in fact, the best CPU for games, by and large it remains so to this day, because. assemblies on Ryzens or Kofileiks are decently more expensive, but for the same price everything is worse there.

If you are building a new computer (as I did), then take the processor from the new line. Yes, a little more expensive, but the model is newer.
