I've never been a fan of sonic toothbrushes - can't quite pinpoint why - preferring the feel of a hand brush instead. The problem is that the sonic toothbrush is undeniably better at removing plaque. But this brush amazed me. The bristles are a little rough, but they remove plaque so you don't have to scrub your teeth roughly. Simple passes are enough to keep your teeth smooth. Toothpaste isn't recommended because the suds will interfere with the light, and their website recommends using mouthwash on the brush for a fresh, minty feel (and rinsing your mouth out, of course!). Honestly, for such a long-lasting feeling of smooth, clean teeth, the brush is a good price.
