Review on Dorman 924-707 Shift Interlock Solenoid: Perfect Fit for Ford / Mercury Models by Erick Roby

We helped a neighbor by installing this in his 2010 Mercury Mountaineer after he got stuck at the park. He comes and does his work; The car is now leaving the parking lot. Some people say you can do this repair without removing the entire center console (i.e. just removing the top panel), but I couldn't do that. I had to remove the entire center console but it was still an easy fix. I found the price here at Revain to be about 20-30% lower than auto parts stores. I can't say anything about durability yet.
