Review on 🚴 High-performance Alloy Bicycle Pump by Allan Lambert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fantastic. . . except for the manometer

I have two of them, one with a manometer and the other without. I have 4.5" Bontrager Gnarwhal TLR tires so a large volume pump was a must. The one with the gauge is a little longer (to hold the gauge) and therefore has a little more volume. However, I use a non-gauge hose and keep it in the one I bought with a gauge. Pros: Very light. Awesome mount (right on the water bottle mount) that not only holds tight but also has velcro. 100% sure it won't come off. The handle unfolds into a T-handle. Hose and end seals inside to keep it from getting dirty. off-road bike) Inflates quickly. . . for such a small pump. Very difficult to pump at high pressure. . . It's not designed for that (I used it on my fork and it got pretty difficult to inflate at around 90psi), and I can't call that a downside. Cons: Meter is useless. At 4 psi my pressure gauge read 20 psi. At 14 psi it read . . . 20psi. It worked fine on my fork to read really high pressure (not very accurate) but was specifically designed to handle the high volume of a low pressure pump. A few psi difference is huge on a bike with fat tires, where 2 psi can make a 25-50% difference in tire pressure. Just for reference: if you have 4.5 inch tires. 2 psi per 100 pump strokes. Yes, that's a lot. . . but not for such a small pump. If you want something really small and light that will get you out of a jam then this is it. You can always buy a CO2 adapter for it if you want to pump fast, although you can easily make a custom CO2 pump if you carry tanks anyway (although the adapter will fit the cap of that pump if you buy it). ). If you are not using a CO2 adapter, there is a small storage space in the lid. It comes with a reversible end that fits both types of valves. In summary, this is a great pump with a useless pressure gauge. . You will buy a pressure gauge with it. I would recommend this one (I have it and love it): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051LQ0X4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
