I used to use plastic caps because I had a good discount on a lot of them. Never. If you like fizzing your drinks in a 1 liter or 2 liter Canada Dry bottle, do it with these things. Forget plastic. These metal screws are easy to thread, provide a snug fit without much torque, and require very little wrist effort to easily loosen and connect with a 5/16" ball lock. They can be a bit slippery if you overtighten, but because they are so well built you don't need to overtighten to get a good seal. If you're fizzing a lot of your stuff in reusable plastic bottles, this is the way to go.
