After remodeling and upgrading my living room, I decided to ditch the old Pioneer floor standing cabinets that were used as front speakers for a 5.1 surround sound system and downsize them because they perfectly match my current stand for the entertainment system and then free up more space for a tidier look. The fact that these are JBL studio monitors and can handle 150W peak power made the choice pretty easy. In addition, many of the reviews here are also helpful. I'm a musician so I like to listen to store bought music on a regular basis and these little speakers are really good if you want to set up a small listening area. I use Fostex studio monitors on my Mac computer system used for listening, recording and mixing, so I was fully aware of the difference in quality between studio monitors and regular small surround or computer speakers. Highly recommend these JBLs if you have limited space to work or just want to use them for surround back speakers as they also come with mounting brackets. 5 Stars.
