We received this camera just in time for Christmas. It took some practice to learn the device. There are many features, some that work well together and some that don't. The improved lifespan is great, it wasn't told to charge immediately so I didn't (maybe I missed it in the manual), it didn't last long initially but after the first full charge it did for a while, flash and all. Images are poor quality on the Quick View LCD, but they look better when you play them back. The LCD still doesn't make them compared to how they would look on your PC. The flash creates a yellow background on camera, but it looks much better on PC. You have to experiment a little. It's a really great camera, just don't get discouraged on day one or two until you read the instructions. The included quick start guide may not be sufficient. If you are not familiar with this, you can take out the CD with the complete user manual.
