Nice little hard shell. The lining is a very soft, short-pile velvet, microfiber I believe. I use it to store a small camera and it works great. The inverted zipper offers a bit of protection from dust but, as you might expect, can move a little slower around corners. I will use zipper lube to move it smoothly and prevent it from failing prematurely. It comes with a webbing strap on the wrist, the lobster clasp is the same type as the neck strap. I'm not sure how much radio weight this case is rated for, but I wouldn't trust it if you're loading it with heavier items. Internal dimensions of bottom compartment: 6-3/8" wide, 2-5/8" front to back and 2-1/2" deep. Depth may be 1/4" deeper due to mesh in lid 1/4" recessed. Generally, it widens slightly at the edge of the zipper. The mesh in the lid has stretch. So if your item is larger than 2-3/4" but smaller than 3-3/4", yours will fit Item assuming you only store thin flat items in the mesh pocket. The compartment in the top cap is 1" deep where the mesh starts. I'm happy with this case, it seems sturdy enough to withstand some bumps in the car or luggage, and can be used to store and protect any items that fit in. Hope this was helpful. Thank you!
