This is a good sensor and is part of a much larger set of sensors. The package includes a micro USB cable to connect to a 10W (or 2A) USB power source. Although the device has both micro and mini USB ports, I was unable to connect it to my cable via the mini USB port, which is fine, they give you the correct cable to use. Give the device about 30 minutes to get the correct temperature/humidity reading and send it to the cloud. The cloud interface on both the phone app and PC is convenient and works well. The default sensor reading interval is 5 minutes, but the default sensor transmission interval is 15 minutes (sends three readings at once), but you can change this, especially if you have AC (which I highly recommend!). Last note. It's really annoying when good products get a 1 star rating as their first rating, especially when the rating is based on a use case that few people will use - a bad rating means battery performance and 100% humidity (outside in the rain? ) .
