TLDR; It is a suitable product for sealing new phone screens or back covers. It works very well and is comparable to factory glue. I repair a variety of equipment and when used correctly this product does not fail and works very well even over long periods of time. Proper use is a little tedious, remember not to touch any side with bare hands or dirty surface, use tweezers and clean work area. Thoroughly wipe any services you plan to stick to with isopropyl alcohol and dry before use. Cleaning and drying surfaces is a necessary step. This product contains a large amount of adhesive tape, which is good for (approx.) 20-25 cell phone repairs. Extended: The product is well packaged and protected by a resealable bag. The sides of the tape are not to be exposed to dust, so it comes with white wax paper covers. This tape is very thin as it should be and is ideal for electronics repairs, especially phone screen replacement and bonding small components like phone battery tapes. The kit comes with a pair of thin tweezers which is very useful. When used correctly, this product works very well. Many people who speak of "failure" often touch the product with their hands during application, contaminating the sticky surface with oils. Another common mistake is accidentally touching another surface or working in a very dusty environment. The tape is thin as it should be, so the surface area is small, any contamination will greatly affect performance. Also, be sure to thoroughly clean both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. The surfaces to be bonded must be cleaned, even if they already look clean. They should also dry completely (compressed air can be used for this, alcohol dries very quickly anyway). Never wipe surfaces with anything other than the lint-free cloth provided in this kit (or a new equivalent). If you do everything right like above, the results will be great. I have used this product many times and have never had any problems. Another great benefit is that when you try to remove it, it behaves like factory double-sided tape, meaning you can easily fix the device if it needs fixing later (once it's broken, it'll fix it broken). Open the device again. . I've tested this using my usual heat gun repair methods to loosen the adhesive and it works very well with this tape. As a final tip, don't forget to put the round protective caps over the tape on both sides and store it in the original resealable bag at the end. Do not leave it on a table or anywhere else as dust and other air pollutants can reduce the effectiveness of this product.
