Okay, they asked me to rate the heat resistance of some of the stars, but I didn't use them for anything hot? That's why I gave 5 stars as I didn't know. I've washed both (this is the second one I've bought) in the dishwasher and they've held up great! Just make sure there's nothing heavy around it that could damage it. Mind you, it seems very fragile (not as fragile as it looks, although I can attest to that as I accidentally bumped into a few things and it never broke!) and flimsy, but I've had no issues with it. I've had my first for 4 years now. I have wrist issues and weak hands so I like it because it means it's very light and thicker glass would be a lot heavier, especially with liquid in it! However, if that bothers you, be warned! The lid is great, but be aware that while it stays on well even if you rotate it so the open sides aren't facing forward, if you tilt it liquid can still leak out due to the design of the lid! As long as you don't tip it like you're about to water, you're fine. The lid never came off when pouring or anything. When cleaning, make sure that you put the rubber piece back in correctly when removing the cover, otherwise the seal in the cover will be damaged! Otherwise everything will be roses 🌹! Great for infused water, iced tea, or iced coffee (all made above). I liked it so much I bought a second one as we are trying to get rid of plastic in our house.
