Review on πŸ“Ί ECHOGEAR Tilting TV Wall Mount: Low Profile Design for 40"-90" TVs – Glare Elimination, Easy Tilt, Slide to Center Between Studs & Level After Install by Reid Rickerson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great, but be careful with the last step with the set screws!

Installed over my mantel. The only place in the living room where it could really go. My TV is heavier than most newer ones because it was bought in 2008, although it is smaller than the 37 inch TV. It probably weighs around 50 pounds, which is about half what this unit can support, and while the mount itself is very secure, the TV is difficult to tilt, mostly due to its weight I think. Otherwise does what is expected. Easy installation instructions (compared to others that are NOT as easy. Feel free to check out my review of another mount I've tried before). An installation note: I had a hell of a time tightening the two set screws. the bottom of the mounting bracket (the one on the bottom of the rails that attach to the TV itself). Not wanting this smaller TV to be mounted high on the ceiling, it sits relatively low on the wall above the mantel, so it was very, very difficult to access with a long screwdriver to tighten those screws. I strongly recommend that you USE THE SUPPLIED EXTENSION PARTS to move the TV slightly away from the wall when mounting. This will make this last step a lot easier (unless you have tiny hands, which is fine, but I don't).

Pros
  • TV & Video
Cons
  • Very Expensive
