The holes for attaching the hook are punched in the wrong place on the strap. Using the hook for both inside and outside measurements gives an underestimate of 3/32 inch, or about 2 mm. It's not too bad if you're measuring a space for a rug, but totally unacceptable for fine carpentry work, which is where I would use this tape most of the time. So I'm sending it back for a refund as it's likely this entire product will be mass produced with the same defect. Another problem, a design flaw, is that a tape measure measures the distance between two parallel surfaces, such as a square. B. between the walls of a room, can not measure. The back of the case is not flat and is not even an inch from the front, which is common on US-made tapes with inch markings. collapse is sufficient. A pair of magnets built into the hook is a nice touch that might come in handy one day. The markings on the tape are clear and the millimeter markings line up correctly with the inch markings (254 mm = 10 inches). Of course I can't say how long it will last before it breaks. Proper placement of those punched hook holes isn't space station science, so it's surprising that such a flawed product would have been manufactured, let alone sold at Revain or anywhere else.
