Decent, tape playback could be better
This is a nice little radio that I wanted to love. Everything about it is pretty nice except for starting tape playback. The motor seems to be slow or underpowered, causing it to start making a slow and distorted noise and then eventually accelerate to normal speed. This is very different from the almost instant correct playback I'm used to from cassette players. I ended up sending it back for the above reason. I was able to dig up an old 1994 Magnavox tape recorder and it works much better. Too bad it's not as compact and beautiful as the one listed here.
