Cool little tape recorder that also plays the radio. Reminds me of my youth. I still have a few cassettes and I really enjoy playing them. Works great and won't damage cassettes.

Ever since I was little there was a cassette I wanted to listen to with my kids so I ordered this. So it has a battery or connectivity. Works very well. Maybe it's time to take the Amy Grant tapes from my mom :)

I have a lot of cassettes that I also like to listen to, especially on the train. Bought this little cassette player to use in the bedroom on the train. It was just the right size and didn't take up much space once packed. The sound is excellent, not loud, very clear. I definitely recommend this player.

The term "retro" fits - mono output (except with headphone jack), tried to eat the first cassette I tried to play but caught it soon enough to prevent irreparable damage. The audio is ok for a tape recorder but I would most likely use the headphone jack to get stereo. The radio works fine. I wouldn't get it for anyone else. It's a lot smaller than I expected, but as the name suggests, it works. For the money I wouldn't expect much.

The sound quality is better than I expected for this price. I was quite surprised and I'm picky about the sound quality. It is easy to use as there is enough color contrast between the letters and the background to see what the buttons and controls are for. The font size might not be big enough for people with vision problems, but it's a lot better than the last one I tried and had to throw in the trash. I can see everything well. This is a nice little radio that I wanted to love. Everything about it is pretty nice except for starting tape playback. The motor seems to be slow or underpowered, causing it to start making a slow and distorted noise and then eventually accelerate to normal speed. This is very different from the almost instant correct playback I'm used to from cassette players. I ended up sending it back for the above reason. I was able to dig up an old 1994 Magnavox tape recorder and it works much better…

They don't make portable cassette players like they used to. We tried another retro player (twice) with dismal results, and after reading other reviews of this player - and in particular how well the cassette deck works - we decided to give this one a try. This radio cannot receive any of our local AM radio stations except one. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and this radio can't even pick up KGO or KCBS, the two huge stations in the area that cover the entire west coast. Tried both battery and mains. I walked around the house looking for the best spots but to no avail. On the FM band it was a bit better to get 3 or 4 good sounding stations, but for FM the dial is so "sensitive" that it was difficult to aim at the right spot on the dial. The…
