Faster than my systems with built-in card readers

Kingston's high-speed media reader is just that, high-speed. With a USB 3 connection, it can transfer files from your memory cards much faster than most computers with built-in media readers. I have a couple of Dell computers that have 19-in-1 media readers built in and I use them for SD. and CF cards, but have always found them to be quite slow when transferring files. The Kingston Reader is much faster, which seems like a minor anomaly. I would have thought that the reader built into the computer would transfer files faster since it is quite heavily connected directly to the motherboard. Setup is very easy. Just plug the media reader into an available USB 3 port on your computer (it's backwards compatible with USB 2, but speeds will obviously be severely slowed down), wait for Windows to recognize it, and get started. When plugged in, the top of the reader glows red, which is nice. The included USB-3 cable is about 3 feet long, so you should have enough room to place the reader anywhere. This new model supports the latest UHS-II SD cards, which I have several for my Canon cameras. Although the camera itself does not support UHS-II, only UHS-I supports the reader and transferring images from the card to my system is much faster. The reader itself is simply larger than a credit card in terms of area and size. Centimeters deep, so also perfect for traveling and connecting to a laptop. I had no problem with the reader accepting cards at different speeds (don't forget to disable the card from the taskbar after you're done transferring files, don't just pull out the card). Great product for the price and my only wish is that it also supports CFAST 2.0 and XQD cards but for reading SD, Micro SD and CF cards it works great and is sold at a good price. Recommended.
