I use them in all my aquariums. There have been issues with high pH levels and I've tried adding ground materials to the filtration system but this is much easier and provides a great hiding place for new babies and will break down in the tank over time. You'll have to soak them or let them float in your tank for a while to make them sink to the bottom, but once they're stuck in the water you can place them wherever you want. I have tested these and they are perfect for my 10 and 20 gallon tanks and can be cut down to fit smaller tanks. I'm a quarter of them I use in my 2.5 gallon tank and use them all the way in my 5 gallon tank but also add a few leaves to my larger tanks. My catfish love them, my snails are fascinated by them and protect my fry from being eaten by the larger fish in my tank. I heard about them through a YouTuber and decided to give them a try and they did a great job helping me lower my pH and keep the healthy bacteria in my tanks. I would highly recommend it to others for aquatic animals.
