We are very disappointed with this coffee maker. We bought it a little over a year ago and it has already stopped working. It's been doubtful for a month, and today it's completely expired. With the purchase you will receive an extended warranty! I bought it because we have the same unit in our country house that I bought over 10 years ago and it still works great. This device, although identical in appearance, does not have the same quality. A few months after purchase, we noticed that the internal parts have a rusty surface. At first I thought it was coffee discoloration but it is actually surface corrosion - maybe stainless steel but very poor quality. The percolator was still running, so I ignored surface corrosion. It also tended to trip the ground fault circuit it was connected to. Another low-quality sign, and today, as I said, it has stopped altogether. I think Hamilton Beach got cheap by buying this unit from China or worse with poor quality control and you will get this result. Very sad as we really like this product and the other one we have is excellent.
