I bought these jars hoping they were straight jars but the other reviewer was right - these jars are slightly tapered and you won't be able to tell until you do work with them. . Tapered lenses are difficult to work with or may take longer to sublimate due to the nature of this shape. If you don't print your design large enough, it will show up on the rims of your glasses, and as long as you're not overly picky or overselling, that's fine. Some of mine were also slightly chipped but that didn't bother me as they would still be covered. If you're new to sublimation, carbon paper seems to work well (this mug was sublimated using printer ink and regular printing paper). Check out my photo of the bottom of the glass - I thought it didn't taper so I printed enough :(
