Review on Giro Syntax MIPS Road Bike Helmet: Enhanced Safety for Adult Riders by Andrew Grant

Great Midrange Mips Helmet

While looking for a replacement for my Giro Revel I came across the Syntax. The Revel is a decent budget helmet but I ride further and faster. I know mips is a controversial topic, but it's become part of my quest. Syntax is a great mid-level unit. It's smaller than most helmets I've tried, comfortable for my bald head, fits well and is well ventilated. My photos are on a 12x12 floor tile. Notable differences compared to the budget: foam density, internal padding, straps are similar, but the dual adjustable locking system is better and it fits around my head instead of just "over it". some vents and no place to store goggles. The muted colors, branding and texture complement every set in my closet. I am very happy. I will update after a full season on the road. Update: Lenses may or may not fit depending on design. My Siroko K3S is secure. Still great after almost 2000 km. There are reflectors on the small loops on the back. I never noticed.
