Nice heavy U-bolt with bracket but no spare threads to attach anything

I bought these to attach some brackets to 1" diameter frame members. ) pipe, and the back fits the pipe, but if you add the included nuts, there are no spare threads to insert the *thing you want to attach*! So it's great for grabbing the pipe. a tube or several strands of hair
