I don't wear makeup that often so it doesn't take long to impress me with brushes unless they're obviously cheap. It's not like this. They don't feel like cheap plastic. They stick together great. There are no dimples on the metal parts that are often found on the hands. The black part is smooth and feels good in the hand. The brushes themselves are soft, there is also a brief description of each brush. Good brushes. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but these didn't disappoint. However, the packaging they come in looks cheap. They try but fail to offer the full package of quality services. It starts with string wrapped around these paper handles, but the ends of the strings are cheap plastic and the handles are paper. Then the inside of the tablet looks like it has a velvety texture, but it's cheap flimsy plastic. Gift-worthiness and presentation are not enough for a nice set.
