Review on Butterfly Double Safety Aluminum Membrane by Jennifer Mitchell

A good beginner's razor goes with razors and blades

If you're new to this style of shaving like me, this is a good razor to start with. I was just looking for something cheap to get used to this style of shaving before buying a more advanced and expensive razor. This razor gives a good shave (again the shave probably depends on the type of razor you bought, I bought 100 Wilkinson Sword blades with it) for a generic brand name razor. The only thing I really didn't like in my case was that when I ordered the razor I thought I'd get a brand new razor because you know who wants a used razor but unfortunately that's what I got. I have not made a complaint nor returned the razor because I was too keen to try the DE shave so I cleaned the razor as best I could. I could tell it was used because it wasn't very shiny (as if someone had used it) and there was rust in a few spots on the underside, which also indicated it wasn't a new razor. It was the only real complaint. Other than that, the butterfly mechanism isn't bad, it locks the blade exactly in place and it doesn't slip or anything. Like I said, it's great value for money and I still get a closer shave than any other razor I've used before just by switching to this type of razor. If you don't care about brand and price, as long as it serves its purpose, this razor is for you. I'll probably order a more expensive, good quality razor in the future anyway (like the Parker or Edwin Jagger I was considering) just to see if the shave gets better and also because I want an unused razor .
