Legs ensure good ventilation. The cable yo-yo keeps the cables clean.
The plastic washers that the legs attach to don't interfere with my MacBook Pro. As with most laptops, the battery can get quite hot and the feet provide some space between your hips and the laptop. Legs can be exchanged in height and angle. A cable yo-yo is a great help in keeping power cords neat and tidy.
