There is no weld on one side
I never thought I'd see this from Magnaflow, but one end isn't welded to the tube at all. I assume it just got stuck and skipped quality control. That the press is in a fit. It definitely looks like it's been compressed to a smaller diameter where it meets the muffler holes.
